Hello members and list subscibers,
For those of you who may be interested in the roads of and around
Carmarthenshire where your ancestors lived, I have now arranged for three
further scans of the original 1736 edition of Britannia Depicta to be added
to the "Wales" section of
http://www.yourmapsonline.org.uk/
These are:
Page 40 of the 1736 Bowen's Depicta.
It is a route from Carmarthen, via Haverfordwest to St. David's, Pemb.
Page 225 of the 1736 Bowen's Depicta.
It is a route starting in Radnorshire travelling via Breconshire to
Carmarthenshire. The starting point 'Prestain' is I believe Presteigne
(Powys) then via New Radnor and 'Bealth' (Builth Wells) to Carmarthenshire
Page 39 of the 1736 Bowen's Depicta.
It is a route from Swanfey (Swansea, Glam) to Lacharne/Laughern (Laugharne,
Carmarthenshire, of Dylan Thomas the poet fame) via Loughor and Llanelli.
Regards,
Mal Davies.............. Carmarthenshire.
