Hi Peter
Finding information from the 18th century is harder, as the details are more
sparce, for baptisms only the fathers name is given in most cases, and when
a popular name there will be so many matches.....its the same for the
burials, no age is given in most cases until after 1813 when the new style
registers came into being, that is the reason why I begin indexing from 1813
onwards...
The early registers that I have compiled are the ones from the area where we
live, mainly Burry Port/Pembrey, Carmarthen and Llanelli.......Pembrey
parish is what started us off to where we are now....
If you want to see what is on offer through membership you can view the
details following the links for Wales Genealogy from
http://www.carmarthenshirefhs.co.uk
on this site there are lots of indexes that you can view yourself......let
me know what you think....
regards Pauline

Thanks, Pauline.
How do I find out for what parishes indexes are available, in hard copy or
CD, and how to access/acquire them? Through membership of Carmarthenshire
FHS - if so, how do I go about joining?
I should add that I am only interested in 18th century or earlier
information.
I appreciate your help.
Peter Howell.
