It's still sunny in Devon luckily and making everyone happy! Hope its
still nice in Llanelli.
I've already checked the 1891 database and cannot find the family.
Nothing seems to match. The family seems to have lived in the east side
of Llanelli -I'm not sure if that area is covered in the data base.
Elizabeth's first marriage to Joseph Rogers was in 1860 at Capel Als.
I'm fairly sure she married David Davies around 1872/4 but Swansea
cannot find their marriage.
Their first child Sarah was born in 1874 and David Davies was married to
Mary in the 18 71 census and living at Incline Houses.
I think they were chapel from what my mother can tell me. I believe
David Davies died between 1881 and 1891 as their last child was born in
1880.
David Davies is currently my brick wall but I'm sure I can crack it.
Llanelli Registry office were brilliant at finding my elusive Thomas
Thomas so I'm feeling hopeful!
Best wishes
Denise

Hi Denise
Hope it is still sunny in Devon...its sunny here again today!!
Have you looked in the 1891 Llanelli index which you have access to
with membership (courtesy of Ray Morris)? Just asking as it will give
an idea then where they are not....the area to search then will just
be outside
the
area that has been indexed....
Do you know where this family were buried at all? Were they of the
church or non-conformists....
Did you have much luck in CRO?
speak soon Pauline

the 1891 census at Paradise or Penderi but had no luck . I think
David
had
probably died and they were living elsewhere. According to family
tales Elizabeth managed to buy Paradise and another house (unknown)
for another daughter so I'm hoping that I will be able to discover the
date of David's death -so I can find his will and therefore more
information. How did she have enough to buy two houses!
