Noting that you have 1841 GLA census, I wonder if you would have a
little
time to try for a couple of twigs on my tree? They are:
John Morgan, about 13, son of John MORGAN[S]; they might be found at
Glais, place called Lletty Rhys;
Phoebe Jenkins, about 13, dau. of Evan JENKINS, farmer, perhaps at
'Craig
y Jurchell', in parish of Cadoxton.
John and Phoebe married and I have them in 1851 - but I do not have
their
parents in 1851.
Any info on these folks welcomed.
Diolch yn fawr
Phil

Pat,
Judging by some of the Christian names, looks possible these are your
relatives. I note also a number of Morgan infants buried from Swansea
at
Llanblethian 1846, 1850, 1865, unfortunately parents not named.
Names
were David,
George, Mary Ann and Thomas.
BAPTISMS FOR EVAN & CATHERINE MORGAN
Evan is described as farmer on some of the entries, labourer on others,
but
maybe there were two couples of the same name, or the later ones
could
be
children of their son Evan.
Evan 1806
Thomas 1808
David 1810
Anne 1812
Richard 1818 [Evan a farmer]
Morgan 1819 [Evan a farmer]
Mary 1822 [Evan a labourer]
Catherine 1826 [Evan a labourer]
Catherine 1828 [Evan a farmer]
I have Glamorgan Census CDs for 1841 & 51 so can do a bit more checking
if
required.
Best wishes,
WENDY
