Hi Glen
I could not find a relevant marriage either...but the CRO use our marriage
indexes anyway....
Do you think they married after June 1837, this is when registration began
and people did not have to marry in the parish church which was the law pre
1837.
Have you tried asking in Carmarthen registry office....you have both names,
so if you send them an e-mail just with the groom and bride surname they
would check their computerised marriage index for you....
send an e-mail to them at

keep us posted - Pauline

Subject: [Cmn-L] David Jenkins and Elizabeth Jones Conwil
Hello
I am looking for the marriage of the above in
Llangeler or Conwil about 1836. I have looked at all
the indexes at Carmarthenshie Record Office but found
not marriage between these two names at this time
frame. David (b.1810) Llangeler and Elizabeth (b1812)
Llangeler. In 1841 they were in 'Weinhavod', Abernant
Chapelry, 'Conwil in Elvet' and then in 1851 in
Manllwyd (Maenllwyd) Conwil. Children were:
John (1837)
Esther (1839)
Rachel (1840)
David (1843)
Mary (1846)
Daniel (1848)
What non-confomist chapels are close to this area?
Any help appreciated.
Glen Jenkins
