Hi Bill
During my indexing, I cannot remember many Scots mentioned.......
I have a Robert Friar from Edinburgh way......but he went to live in
Deptford Kent early 1800's, not Wales - that's another branch of my
family.....(always try to include mine - you never know, perhaps someone may
link-up!!!)
Perhaps someone knows of a web page link that could assist?
Pauline

Subject: [Cmn-L] Welsh and the Scots
Hi.. Wales and Scotland are some distance apart and separated by
England.
I
am looking for any possible patterns of prevalence of marriages
between
the
Welsh Lads of Carmarthenshire and the Scottish Lassies of Scotland
in the
mid
1800s. Was there work in Scotland that drew them, or work on the
England,Scotland border? My G.Grandfather in later life was a catttleman,
butcher
and miner
of lead, gold, and coal and graphite. Conversely were there any
patterns
of
Scot migration to Carmarthenshire? Answers to possible sites could
help me
locate G.Grandma Campbells birthplace.. Thanks ..Bill
