Hi Annette
Just to add another!!!
I have a Silvanus Davies who married Rachel Morgan in the third quarter
of 1838.
The marriage was registered in Narberth ( and records would be held in
Haverfordwest Register Office)
Silvanus was born in Llandisilio , Carmarthenshire according to the 1871
census when he had one of my family Martha Beynon working for him as a
general servant.
He is widowed by then and living with some of his children in Penbach,
Llandissilio.
He is there with his wife and family in 1851 - but no sign of a Thomas.
In 1841 he and his wife and one child are living in Mynachlogddu.
I was waiting until I found a possible Thomas staying elsewhere before
giving you details - but as he and his wife are the right sort of age -
you could tell me if you would like the census details to file away -
just in case things fit at a later date.
Cheers
Pat
