Hello Christopher,
I am also interested in Caio, as my ggg-grandfather
William E. Jones was born there. He lived in
Llansawell (sp) born 1796, was an "old soldier" so
married late, then took his family to the USA in 1866.
I would like to know where Caio is in relation to
Llansawell, and what is the story of the wizard? What
else is strange aboutthe history there? How close is
Caio to the fan y fan fach (sp) or lake of the fan,
where the lady of the lake married the shepherd boy,
had to returnt to the lake, but taught her sone the
healing arts af her people first? Wow, that is a
synopsis of a legend.
I woould love a discussion of all these things.
Thanks,
Bill
live about 35 minutes from Caio and have some
knowledge of the area
so if
you want to ask me anything else please feel free to
get in touch.
Caio has some strange history not least the
wizard...but I'm not the
expert
on that.
Byron ROGERS has written some affectionate accounts of
Carmarthenshire
people and places.
