I know exactly where you mean!!! Although I was born in Llandefealog (left
at 2months old), have been a regular visitor all my life and still have
cousins in the village. Will ask my mum for any memories when she gets up in
the morning--she comes up with some lovely stories. we live in Manchester.
Will get back to you tomorrow
Marie

Hello Marie,
I have an interest in the family that was living in a farm
called GELLI in the early 1900's, probably a little too soon for your
mother, but any info on the farm would be very welcome. This farm was/is on
the outskirts of Llandefealog, through the village, down a narrow lane,
over
a very narrow bridge & the farm is on the right. Family name EVEN EDWARDS.
Any info welcome.
Kind regards,
Paul (Somerset).

Hi Pauline, everyone on the list
Merry xmas to you all. I notices a message from someone who had relatives
living in Uplands. My mum lives with me (90 years old) she has fond
memories
of Uplands, my grandfather was a gardener there in the 1920's she remembers
the younger sister of the owner getting married, they made a bonfire in the
grounds and all the children were invited to watch. My aunt was one of the
girl guides in the group run by Miss Davis's sister. dont think this is the
same family as you are researching but this is to let you know I have
someone on tap who has a very good memory for her age and was brought up in
Llandefealog.
Many thanks for your help Pauline
regards
Marie
