Anna: Since I'm hailing from Oklahoma, what is the difference (is it in
spelling, or is it an actual geographic difference) in Llangadock and
Llangadog? On my Davies side, my great grandfather, David Lewis Davies,
whose obituary and family information states the family was from
"Llangadog", had a brother named Morgan. Since I've been a member of this
List for about 4-5 years now, I've learned the hard way that our Welsh
ancestors (and particularly the Davies ones :-), didn't help us out any by
naming the children "creatively" (as our children do their own nowadays)!
Consequently, I realize the potential of having a Morgan Davies in one's
family is nothing "special". However, one from Llangadog (or Llangadock?)
could be in terms of singling out certain family members. Since I'll be
working on this over the next few days while home for the Thanksgiving
holidays, I'll see what I can find out in the information I currently have
and see if there's a possible connection.

Hi Pauline
I've managed to lose the Manche's and my uncle's addresses. I'll let
you
know when I find them.
It'll be Llanfynydd in 1861 I need as This would enable me to trace the
family on from there, if I'm lucky! The only thing I know is that David
married a
Mary Ann fromYstrad, Brecon and they lived in Llanguick. There were
two
daughters, Margaret and Dinah my grandmother. Dinah married Morgan Elias
Davies,
whose father was born in Pencarreg but lived in Llangadock. Hence
my
Llangadock connection.
Regards Anna
