Hi Anna
I cannot search 1871 Carmarthen as the parish is just too large.......
Give me the ages and occupation of Thomas and Ann Davies and I will probably
see them in 1851 Llanfynydd which I have indexed - at least it will give us
some idea of their children if they were still at home.....
regards Pauline

Subject: [Cmn-L] Help with St Peters family of Davies's
I found a Mary Davies, age 1 on the 1871 Llanfynydd Census. She was
with
her
grandparents Thomas and Ann Davies. Thomas and Ann were born in Llanegwad
but Mary was born in St Peters which means that one of their children
married
and moved there. It's more likely that this was a son but Davies to
Davies
marriages are not uncommon in my Davies family. I've tried to trace Mary
on the
1881 Census but the closest I can get on the 1881 Censujs (via Family
Search)
is
Anne DAVIES, Head, W., 39, born Llangunnor, Carmarthen, Publican
Mary DAVIES, Daur, 12,born St Peters, Carmarthen
Eliza DAVIES, Daur 10 " " "
Sarah DAVIES, Daur, 9 " " "
James DAVIES, Son, 7 " " "
Margaret DAVIES, Daur 5 " " "
Margaret JONES, Sister, 20, Born Llangunnor, Carmarthen, Sempstress
They were living at 11 Water Street
Census: Carmarthen St Peter
PRO Ref RO11, Folio 5399/4, page no 3
Could SKS with the 1871 St Peter Census see if they could find Anne with
her
husband. I'm hoping to find that her husband came from
Llanegwad/Llanfynydd.
TIA
Anna Thomas
