HI Anne
Did you find a will for him? That may show some clues.....not many
newspapers were around at that time.
Does anyone have any ideas for Anne.....Pauline

Hi Pauline,
He was the Rector of Eglwys Cymmun. You found some info relating to his
time
there, and his marriage in Laugharne. I knew there were Browns there,
and
hoped Maurice had been born in the town. It doesn't look like I'm going to
be lucky.
Do you have any suggestions where I might find a clue about his
birthplace?
Unfortunately he died in 1840, so I can't look at the 1841
census.
I wondered if his death cert would mention it. The only other chance I
have
could be an obituary in one of the local papers, as he was Rector of
EC
for
approx. 40 years.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Best wishes,
Anne.
