Hello Joy
Ng is the mutated form of G
so ngofal is equivalent to gofal which means "care"
i.e in the care of God
Cheers
Pat

Hi Listers
I have come across just one line in Welsh on a gravestone in an English
Churchyard which I would so appreciate having translated as it it not covered by
a
book that I have on Welsh MI words
YNG NGOFAL DUW
YNG = By
DUW = God
NGOFAL - is this a corruption of 'Enedigol' possibly by an English stonemason?
Does it therefore mean 'Child of God' ?
Any help from any Welsh speakers would be most appreciated
Many thanks
Joy
