Hi Kevin
At the moment there are no census downloads only the CD's.....
For the area you require all this is on the one CD..
Castle Derran, Cilymaenllwyd, Cyffig, Eglwys Cymmin, Egremont, Eglwys fair y
churig, Henllan Amgoed, Laugharne, Llanboidy, Llandawke, Llanddowror,
Llandeilo Abercowin, Llandissilio, Llanfallteg, Llanfihangel Abercowin,
Llangain, Llanginning, Llanglydwen, Llangunnock, Llansadwrnen, Llanstephan,
Llanwinio, Marros, Meidrim, Pendine and St Clears...
so this ONE CD has many parishes on it, quite a few of which you mention.
I have just finished indexing Meidrim for a certain period, who are you
looking for there......I have just completed the early Llanboidy register
too.....
let me know if I can help.....Pauline

Subject: [Cmn-L] 1841 Llanelly area - Pauline
Pauline:
Thanks for your offer of assistance a couple of days
ago. With this being the holiday weekend for Memorial
Day, I was out of town to visit a couple of graves and
took the time to discuss family history with some
relatives.
I'm afraid I'm still not seeing the file size on the
downloads. I was using a different browser, but get
the same results with Internet Explorer. To the right
side, there's the price and the add to basket button.
Should I see something else? I tried adding something
to basket, but that window didn't show a file size
either. Am I somehow looking in the wrong spot?
My current priority is to find in 1841 James Jenkins,
born 1817 Llanginning, Elizabeth Davies, born 1816
Llangan, and Benjamin Jenkins, birth unknown but I'm
guessing about 1820 in Llangynin. In 1842, they were
all clear over in the Gower ... James married
Elizabeth in Ilston; Benjamin, a brother, witnessed.
James and Elizabeth settled back in Llanelly by 1843
until the family emigrated, Benjamin went on to parts
unknown, eventually dying in the Rhondda at an unknown
time. The Glamorganshire list referred me to an Ian
who has a mining casualties database, but Benjamin
doesn't appear to be on it as far as I can tell (based
on victims' age). I haven't found any of these three
in Ilston or Llanelly or back in Llangynin in 1841.
As I try to search more pre-1837, I'll be looking at
James' and Elizabeth's parents. Thomas Jenkins and
Mary Thomas apparently married 1805 in Llanboidy
before moving to Llangynin. Census says he was born
Llanddewi Velfrey. I know their details post 1841. I
don't know much about Lewis and Margaret Davies except
they were 60-year-old farmers in the 1841 census,
74-year-old paupers in 1851. Census says she was born
in Mydrim. Another researcher says they died 1859-1860
in Gronish, which Pat Powell said may be
Waun-gron-isaf below Whitland Station. Films of BTs in
Llangynin, Llanboidy and Llanddewi Velfrey have not
been of much use.
Those searches are my first and second priorities.
We're preparing for a brace of 100 degree days this
week now that summer weather's here. Hope your
weather's much more pleasant.
Kevin.
