I joined the list just in time to see it crankup into plenty of discussion.
Tell me what rain looks like! Here in New South Wales (OZ) we are in the
grip of a 100 year drought event and hoping it does not turn into a 500 year
event. Our water resources are at 40% sort of.
Back to "on-topic"
can anyone in CMN who has some knowledge of Myddfai by Llandovery tell me
why the old "house of LLWYNYWERMWOOD " is marked on the 'on line' map on
the
Cmn Cty Council site as a ruin? and what led to its demise.
My g.g.grandmother was Mary Anne Caroline Catherine Williams (I have also
seen the Surname as Griffies-Williams) and the descendants here in Australia
have no information on the family.and its apparent demise?
So far I found her baptism on IGI on 12 APr 1813
Hope someone can help.

Activity level.
There has been a lot of mention of this on most lists lately.
I think it's just down to the annual phenomenon of the seasons: i.e. it is
summer and people are either on holiday or doing other things and don't
have
the time to devote to punching the keyboard on the computer.
I for one have done more gardening in the last two months than I've
probably
done in the last five years; I'm becoming less addicted to things
IT and
devoting more time to other pursuits which I have neglected in the
immediate
past.
No doubt this applies to others.
Net usage hasn't been helped by the plethora of viruses which have been
released over the first five months of this year and the upward rise in
spam
emails. I for one had to put in a formal complaint to NTL as I was
being
bombarded with viruses which all came through one NTL switch in Swansea;
they stopped.
Must go and do some gardening; when the rain stops!
