I know at least one Morning Star, it was a Public House a long time ago and is now a
house, it is in the village of Five Roads on the right hand side (as you go from Llanelli)
just passed the Farmers Arms on the Carmarthen Road. It is still there. My
"Jones" great great grandmother lived there in the later part of the 19th C
It might be the same one you are listing Pauline, sounds about right.

HI Anne
The Morning Star is the name of an abode.....it is in the Hengoed hamlet of
Llanelly ....
enu dist 2b hengoed hamlet....
The hamlet of Hengoed between the turnpike road from Llanelly to Carmarthen
by Minke on the West side, the Carmarthen railroad and Borough boundary on
the west side and the River Lliedy on the east side.....
There was a Williams family living here, his occupation was a mason.....I
would assume that perhaps it was also a public house at one time?
Do you have the family in 1851 census Anne?

Subject: [Cmn-L] Morning Star, LLanelly
Hello everyone,
Can someone help me with this problem - the birth certificate of my
ancestor
says that she was born near Morning Star, Llanelly - does anyone know
if
it
is a public house or registration district or what? The year is
1850.
Thanks
Anne in Nova Scotia.
