Hi Joe
Evan Evans was not listed as in Burry Port Pembrey parish until the 1871
census, then 1881 and 1891.....his wife and earlier children were all born
in Llanelli, then one born in Kidwelly, so it does look as if they were in
the other places before then....as you state these places are all very close
in proximity, but still in different parishes......from Burry Port Kidwelly
is 5 miles west, whereas Llanelli is 4 miles east.
I know that you have a photograph of the Mill on Achddu Burry Port.
He probably just moved, the tools of the milling trade would be with the
mill, not the miller.....
The names of the district did not change during those census years.....they
are still the same today, excepting that Burry Port is no longer stated as
Pembrey parish....
