Pauline,
I just finished my fourth section of Ystradyfodwg for 1891. So far I've
transcribed about 24,000 individuals. Believe me, I can truly appreciate
when someone does a lookup for me from images as I am well aware of how
difficult some of them are to read. I can also appreciate mistakes made on
Ancestry.com with names, etc. It doesn't always make it easy on those of us
looking for someone, but I think the mistakes outweigh the amount of work
that's been done to the best of their ability. I try to be as accurate as
possible, but I'm sure that I've probably made some mistakes in the 24,000
I've transcribed. Some of the handwriting on the census forms is almost
impossible to read.
