Hello Hal
Very interested to read your story - Rhydwilym Chapel being the oldest Welsh
Baptist Chapel in the world, I believe.
I havent got any specific information but hopefully I can give you some
pointers.
Dyfed Family History Society may well have done some transcriptions of
records and Monumental Inscriptions of the chapel
http://www.dyfedfhs.org.uk/
It is also worth doing a search on the National Library of Wales site for
"Rhydwilym Chapel"
www.llgc.org.uk
Also try the Archives Wales site
http://www.archivesnetworkwales.info/
Incidentally, GEORGE is very much a surname of Pembrokeshire and south
Cardiganshire.
Good luck. Pob lwc

Anne Owen Taylor) :)

Subject: [CMN-L] GEORGEs of 1700 Pem
Hi Y'all, I need some local education and genealogical assistance.
I have my gf William GEORGE of Landissillip Parish bapt 22 Aug 1709, AND,
Thomas GEORGE of Narberth Parish bapt 17 Aug 1712, both baptized @ Rhydwilym
Chapel, Pembrokeshire.
Both appear to be forever of the Baptist religion?
They came to newly founded Baptist churches in PA, USA in 1720s, at lease
one of which was founded by the Chapel.
I have no records of wives or siblings or records of demissions from the
Chapel, ports of debarkations, ship lists, cem records, land records, tax
lists, part the church played in these migrations...
Thanks for your assistance.
