Hello from a new lister. I am looking for the descendants of the
siblings
of Nathaniel SKYRME, son of James Skyrme (a farmer) & Eliza (nee
Scourfield).
He was born at Manorbier, Pembrokeshire in 1845, but everything suggests
that his parents are the same James & Eliza that appear in 1861 & 1871 at
Llangan and Llanfihangel, Abercywyn. Siblings would therefore be John,
Elizabeth,
Anne, James, Louisa, Francis and Thomas. Only Thomas was born in
Carmarthenshire, the remainder in Pembrokeshire.
Also, can SKS with local knowledge confirm some spellings/locations. The
name of the farm was Pantefinon or Pantolfion, at Abercywyn or Abercowin.
Can't
read the 1861 and 1871 census images very well.
Lastly, either James SKYRME (b. abt 1823) or one of his sons was said to
have been a JP in Carmarthen. Can anyone confirm this from a trade
directory
around 1871-1881?
Many thanks, Alyson in Essex.
