Helen, where did he marry from do you know? Was he of the parish church or
non-conformist.....
CFHS members at present indexing some non-conformist chapels from Carmarthen
but it will take a while before they are complete......there are mainly
between 1813-1837 but some are earlier.......
If you know what denomination they were it may help, it is not an easy name
to search as you are well aware.....do you have an occupation for his
father?
Give us the info you have and we'll try to help from there

you get census details? As he was married in 1845, I checked 1840 at his
place
of marriage which was Glamorgan but to no avail.
