Hi Anna
Thanks for that......looks like Bert Rawlins book 'The parish churches and
non conformist chapels of Wales' is out of date..
Terry from CRO sent us an updated version, I should have checked that
first.....its under Parish Registers on CFHS site......this is what they
gave....
Llanwrda, St Cwrdaf Combined Registers 1689-1812 Baptism
Registers1813-1916 MarriageRegisters 1813-1837 Registers of Banns 1824-1870 Burial
Registers
1813-1961The marriages seem to differ too.......they state to 1837, but
banns to 1870...perhaps they only have those in CRO the remainder to 1970 in

Dear Ron
Information about the availability of Parish registers is on Genuki - for
Llanwrda see
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/Llanwrda/index.html
Here is the extract:
Christenings (1684, 1689-1916), Marriages (1684, 1689-1970), Banns
(1824-70)
and Burials (1689-1961) are at the National Library of Wales with
Microfiche
[except Banns] at Carmarthen Archives
I think there may be a plan for the original registers to be moved to the
Archives, at some point in the future but you would need to check with
them.
