Elizabeth and Richard
I was at Old Road school 1947-1953 and a good school it was in my opinion. I also had
great childhood friends in Harries Ave Richard, Michael Hopkins comes to mind, lost touch
for a long time however,( and this means we have more in common Elizabeth as well as being
Gravel(l)s by extraction)
PS Elizabeth I am still trying to pin down my Llandefeilog Gravels, when I got the 1834
marriage record of my ancestors Ada Gravel and David Jones the witnesses ( as usual) were
people who seemed to have no connection to the family at all!! I am stuck, BUT Ada and
David lived at BolaHoil Kidwelly in later years and in 1841 there was a David Gravel
living there, may be Ada Gravel ( Jones)'s father. But he is not the herbalist David
Gravel of Cwmfelin Llandefeilog fame since they both coexisted and can be found separately
in the census.

Hello Richard
Yes, I was there for two years, 1955 and 1956, in Miss Thomas' class and
then in Mr. David's class.I was previously at St. David's in New Road,
run by Mrs. Rees, but it closed down so I had to move. As I was a couple
of years older, I suspect our paths didn't cross! I didn't live in
Llanelly (as it was spelt then.) but commuted in from the country.
