Hello Peg
I have these baptisms in Kidwelly parish church - two on the same day.....
Kidwelly parish church baptisms
1863 22nd October
Elizabeth Horne dau Thomas and Margaret
Margaret Jane Horne dau Thomas and Margaret
1864 12th Nov
William Thomas Horne son Thomas and Margaret
1866 25th Jan
Charlott Horne dau Thomas and Margaret
1867 9th June
Thomas Horne son thomas and Margaret
This is only an index.....to locate where they lived in Kidwelly and the
occupation you can contact Carmarthen record office (archives) and ask them
for the full details, or you could even purchase these baptism entries if
you so wished......
I have a burial in Kidwelly could this be Margaret?
1920 8th January
Margaret Horne Bridge Street Kidwelly aged 83 years old
Margaret and Thomas did not marry in Kidwelly parish church.....although you
have the years of the childrens baptisms, you could send an email to
Carmarthen registry office to locate a marriage - nice surname to be looking
for so should not be too difficult to find - or you could purchase a birth
certificate for one of the children to locate Margaret's maiden name......if
you want the email address for the record office and the registry office let
me know.....
regards Pauline

Subject: [Cmn-L] 1861 Census for Kidwelly - HORNE family
I wonder if anyone on this list has access to the 1861 census for
Kidwelly
and could look up the following family for me.
I would like to see if Thomas Richard HORNE and his wife
Margaret (nee THOMAS) are shown there. They would have a daughter named
Margaret Jane who would be less than a year old.
I wonder if there were any other children.
In the 1871 census Margaret HORNE was a widow, living at 114 Bridge Street
with her mother, Jane THOMAS, also a widow and
Margaret's children: Margaret, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Thomas.
Thomas Richard HORNE was drowned in Llanelly in 1867 before his son was
born.
I fhave never been able to find the marriage of Thomas Richard HORNE and
Margaret, but perhaps they didn't get married. Most of the family are
buried in St. Mary's Churchyard, Kidwelly, except for the son who went to
the U.S.A.
Any help would be appreciated.
