Hi Adrian
Thanks for the answer........most non-conformist registers are not
available, if they were handed into the relevant record office, they only
had to be from the years of 1813-1837..........they could suit themselves
before and after those years, thus the lack of chapel records, sadly enough
most of mine were non-conformists, as many welsh families I think.......
The burials have no records at all, unless they had a headstone you will not
locate them easily.

Andrew/Pauline
My g g grandparents were married (post 1837) and buried (I have seen their
grave) at the Independent chapel at Pentre-ty-gwyn. I suspect that their
various children were baptised there too. Unfortunately the records of
baptisms and burials for thre chapel from 1837 to c 1900 or so have been
lost!! They are not at the NLW or the CRO. They are NOT held locally (I
have checked).

Not sure of the parish but its just off the A40 between Brecon &
Llandovery
- just a little north of Halfway. Would this mean that the big hole in
Cefnarthen's record is "filled" by Pentretygwyn having them?
