Not sure of the parish but its just off the A40 between Brecon &
Llandovery
- just a little north of Halfway. Would this mean that the big hole in
Cefnarthen's record is "filled" by Pentretygwyn having them?

Hi Andrew
Is it the Cefnarthen in Llanfair ar y bryn parish?
If so, its a Congregational Independent chapel.......Non-conformist
register of Wales gives these details:
C1730-70, 1919-20 NLW
1731-55 Carms RO
B. 1730-64 NLW
B 1731-55 Carm RO
and from Bert Rawlins book.......
Independents
Cefnarthen
Cause began: before 1660
Chapels: 1689; 1855
Location: Rhandir isaf, the eastern border of Llanfair ar y bryn parish.
Branch of: An early church. This place had its own minister from about
1675.
Records Available:
1. SEE Pentretygwyn (also ind of this parish)
2. Deeds, CRO
3. Account of money collected for rebuilding the chapel, 1854, CRO
Pentretygwyn records available:
branch of: Cefnarthen, this cause and the one at Cefnarthen became one
again after 1772.
births and baptisms: 1769-1837, PRO London RG4/3824
(GS 828112) IGI
therefore these records are on the IGI - the film will also be in
Carmarthen

hope this helps
