HI Diana
The information on a marriage etc was only as good as the information
given......if Margaret when asked what her fathers occupation was she was
have given it, perhaps she did not think to say deceased too.......it
sometimes does happen and it is omitted......you have searched 1841 for John
Williams senior, we know that Margaret aged 15 Hannah and John were living
alone.......we could assume that parents were visiting somewhere, he was
working away or that he was deceased.....I cannot find John Williams in my
master burial index, but he could have been buried in Adulam, the older
stones of the Chapel have been removed so we cannot find him.......
regards Pauline

Pauline - I have just also emailed Elaine to see if I can find a
death for
John W senior between 1837 and 1841 . Would they always put deceased on
the marriage certificate or not?
