HI Denise
There should be a write up in the newspaper.......the local one at that time
was Llanelly Guardian, unsure if Llanelly Star was used at that time...
Also the Cambrian may have made note of it, I know there are indexes being
compiled for that newspaper in Swansea library.....

Subject: [Cmn-L] Arthur NURSE
I had put my NURSE familiy to one side for a while. Now I have found
some
time to get back to them.
My grandmother's maiden name was Elizabeth Annie NURSE, b. Llanelli 1900.
I have just found the death certificate for her grandfather, Arthur NURSE.
He died aged 33 in 1889, Llanelli. The certificate says he died from an
accidental gunshot and there was an inquest.
Strangely it also says that the inquest was delayed for 2 days and the
coroner came from Kidwelly.
I would like to find out more about this - how he was shot and why the
inquest was delayed. Perhaps they had to wait for the coroner to arrive?
Does anyone know if I am likely to be able to find any records of the
inquest and where I need to look for them?
Another place I would like to look is the British Newspaper Library. What
would the name of the local paper be in 1889?
Thank you
Denise
