You are right, Pat, I did change my email address--was having trouble
sending mail from my Sunflower address and had all these "burning" questions
to ask so set up this address with hotmail. You have an amazing memory!
I did obtain the death certificate for Francis. He died 12 Jan 1842 at
Gelly, Llawhaden, age 11, son of a clothier, from a ruptured blood vessel.
That information agrees with the MI from Rhydwilym Baptist Cemetery. If I
could find Francis in the 1841 census, that would confirm that he and the
Charles (18) listed at home with parents Richard and Elizabeth Howell in
Llawhaden are indeed two different people. It is possible that Charles and
Francis are one and the same. Perhaps a 0 was copied as an 8. Anyway, if
you can find Francis in Carmarthen (if census is indexed) 1841, that would
solve the mystery. As I said, Francis doesn't appear to be in Pembroke and
Charles doesn't show up in 1851, nor did a search for a death certificate in
those ten years turn up anything for him. Thanks for your interest.

Hello Christine
I see you have changed your e-mail address.
If you remember we spoke about your Howell family early on in the year -
about May I think - and you said you were going to send for the death
certificate of Francis.
Did you manage to get it? I would be interested in the details.
I didn't find him in 1841 at the time - but I think I just looked around
the surrounding area - I'll try a little further afield.
Cheers
Pat
