Subject: [CMN-L] Looking for more detailed OS maps
Hello,
I received a nice OS map of Swansea and Llanelli from Godfrey the other
day, but am looking for something more detailed. Godfrey says they don't
have anything else.
Does anyone know where they have maps that show even more detail (very
large scale) of the White Rock Works area/Cnap Coch (in Swansea), and
Llanelli, and Pontarddulais?
Hello Mona,
There are large scale maps called "Explorer" series by OS. They are 1:25000
scale [4cm to 1km; 2.5inches to 1 mile].
Number 165 covers Swansea/ Abertawe area and 178 covers Llanelli and
Ammanford/Rhydaman. Pontarddulais area is in the latter one. I'm afraid, although I
now live in Hendy, Carmarthenshire, I do not know where Cnap Coch is to
advise you as to which map is relevant. Have you looked at the OS site on the net?
As far as I remember it used to give you information about the various maps.

They do have a historical series at 1inch to 1 mile but it is not very
detailed.
