As luck would have it, a neighbour of mine here in Somerset is the son
of a Denis (with 1 'n') Haggett, who was born in 1930. However, I know
that Denis's brothers were at the same school as my husband in
Bridgwater, so it seems unlikely that this is the same one, but I will
check when I see my neighbour. So far, we have not proved a link
between their Haggett family and ours, although we think there must be
one somewhere.
My interest on this list to find out about the Welsh ancestry of Arthur
Haggett's wife, Frances EVANS, but with a common name like that in a
country like Wales, it is no easy task, which is why I hope some more
experienced researcher may be able to help.

Reading earlier messages. For what it's worth
Haggett, a name not common in Llanelli in my youth.
There was a Dennis Haggett in the local Boys Grammar School when I was a
student there 1938/1945.
Quite a number of families moved to the area from Somerset and brought
'strange' surnames with them. One of mine was Sweetland.
