My wife informs me that the pricing in John Lewis is the same as
reported by Liz in M&S - seems to be the average price.
You can try the John Lewis website as well if you wish.

Hello Mona
I recently bought a cashmere sweater for £45 in the Gap sale, but I'd be
amazed if they're not cheaper in the US, especially with the relative
strength of the pound against the dollar at the moment.
Marks & Spencer have good quality ones for £69 for a basic

Not sure what you mean by your sizing but M&S size in standard UK women's
sizes which are US +2 (so your size 10 is a 14 here).
Hope that's helpful

Subject: [CMN-L] OT: price of a cashmere sweater?
Hello,
Sorry to post such a thing to the list, but since I am coming to Wales in
March and April and will have 2 days in London, my aunt has asked me the
followng:
HI Mona,
Do you think you can find out from one of your Welsh friends how much a
cashmere sweater costs in London? Julie would like a black, V neck, long
sleeved cashmere sweater. I paid 1/3 of the US price for two cashmere
sweaters in 1985 when Jack, Brad, and I went to England. Cashmere lasts
perfectly and I am wearing them today. No moth holes or anything! I was
thinking that if they are indeed cheaper, maybe you could pick one up for
her when you are over there. I will send you the money beforehand. My
sweaters are a 38 so she thinks she would wear a 40 or 42 if they have them.
Love,
Jackie
Anyone with any info about the price of such a sweater can email me off
list and I will pass it on. Much thanks in advance! Personally, I am
thinking of getting one of those bulky Irish sweaters for myself while I am
in Ireland. And some Welsh Davies tartan.....
