Hi Pauline & List
Just found that we are on the wrong track again:( I traced along ancestry
for John and his family you found me in 1861 and it all seemed to fit
in...even back to 1851! But then in 1881 John appeared as a stone mason
whereas my John is married on the 1881 census and living in Ystradyfodwg as
a coal miner......so its back to the drawing board? Why did everyone in
wales have to be named Jones! - haha.

Hi Pauline,
No, I have totally missed that one!
Only thing is, on John's marriage certificate it says he is a
labourer....saying that, it means nothing does it? as my paternal
Grandfather was a stable groom on his marriage certificate but a labourer on
my parents!....
Thanks you've given me something to look on :)
