HI Jane
Prior to 1837 everyone had to marry in the parish church (except
Quakers)......so the entry will be in the parish register of
Llangynog.......I think that CRO now charge a search fee as well as the
actual photocopy of the entry.......the only additional information will be
if they could sign their name and names of witnesses.......if extra
information was given I would have included it in the index.
The baptism will also be on film in CRO or you could order from NLW perhaps
they do not charge a search fee for the non-conformist registers, just the
search...BUT saying that the Llangynog marriage register is in NLW
too.....so worth applying for copies of both from there, but check first
what the cost is
hope this helps
Pauline

Oh wow! how amazing. Pauline this is very exciting.
John is certainly a name that was handed down.
I know it was very common then, but we have Thomas and John over and over.
They didn't have marriage certificates then did they. Do they have
baptisms
there as well by any chance? I shall not go to bed quite yet, this is
incredible!
Thank you again,
Jane
