Hello Scott,
A BEHINDER was a member of the Hot Mill crew in a Tin Plate works. He
caught the sheets behind the Doublers and passed them back to the rollerman
over the top roll. There would be several passes. The job may include
taking the sheets back to the furnaces for reheating.
This explanation is from Gareth's help page.

Can anyone tell me what a 'behinder' was? What type of work did he have to
do in the
factory?
Many thanks.
