Hi Pauline (& Gwyn)
Yes he could certainly sign his name - as well an an innkeeper he was an
auctioneer, a leading figure in the Oddfellows movement in
Haverfordwest, a town councillor and the official Welsh interpreter for
the local courts.
It would be really good if Gwyn could link his Catherine Reynolds to
Walter -and/or Theophilus Harries to Martha.

Walter Reynolds, writer, St Martins Haverfordwest and Martha Harries of this
parish
at least we know he could sign his name, and as you say cross check both
signatures!!
