Hi Diane
I cannot help much in the burial place of Owen Lewis.....there are three
calvinistic methodist churches that I can see in the book that I have
Gibea
cause began: 1870
Location: Quarter bach, Brynaman, Llanddeusant parish
Records available: unknown
Talsarn
cause began: A Sunday school was held here for years before the chapel was
built .
Chapel: 1860
Location: Talsarn, Llanddeusant parish
Records available: Unknown
Twynllanan
Cause began: Society formed in 1742, they met in homes for nearly 50 years.
Chapels: First chapel about 1790.
Location: Twynllanan, Llanddeusant
Records Available: births and baptisms 1816-37 PRO, RG4/3539 IGI
I do not know if they had graveyards as it did not give that information.
Hopefully someone who lives in that area can answer your question

Subject: [CMN-L] Burial in Llanddeusant, Carmarthenshire
Hello
I am looking for the burial place of Rev Owen Lewis who died age 82 or 83.
He was a Calvinist Methodist minister - of Talsarn? He died 19 Feb 1870.
Does anyone know this chapel and if it has a burial ground? If not, is
there a cemetery nearby?
Thanks.
Diane in Yorkshire
