HI Chris
I looked on the Llanelli parish church indexes (CFHS) from 1680's to 1834
and cannot see him, there is a William Morris baptised 1828 father John
mother Mary of the Town, but he is a mason........where was he in
1841......was he at home or living out? Wonder if the family moved to
Glamorganshire, or just himself. Do you know?
Pauline

Subject: [CMN-L] William MORRIS
Hello Listers,
As a newbie to this list, I am trying to find any information about
William
MORRIS, born c1821 in Llanelly.
He is my great x3 grandfather. I have him pretty well documented from
the
1841 Census onwards in Glamorgan. His early years are still a mystery to
me.
I have thus far concentrated on Glamorgan, I know nothing at all about
Carmarthenshire.
I have, at last, received William's marriage certificate:
23 July 1848 William MORRIS to Mary REES, both of full age and
bachelor/spinster in Llangynwyd Parish Church.
The certificate confirms Mary REES father for me. William's father is
John
MORRIS occupation collier.
Any help or direction would be gratefully received on William's parents.
Thanks in anticipation,
Chris
