Hi Pauline,
You very kindly helped me in the past with Amy Lewis nee Evans, she was born
at Pantglas, Mydrim, about 1794.[My G.G.Grandma]
She married Thomas Lewis in Llanegwad church 23 June 1823.
I have no baptism record for her even though I have been trying many years.
So do not know any of her parents or siblings.[Apart from the mention of a
brother John]
The other Amy aged 20 on 1861 at Waunforte was born in Llanstephan , as were
all on that census.
I was told about Amy Lewis nee Evans ,living there with her brother, called
John, but I have never been able to find him .
I am grasping at straws , but as this John Lewis has called his daughter
Amy, feel their could be a connection.
To much of a coincidence that this house was mentioned in family letters, &
my G.G. Grandma living there.
I would like to find out what relationship this John Lewis had with my Amy
Lewis nee Evans.
Amy & Thomas Lewis had a son also called John ,who was a spinner in the
woollen factory "Dyffryn Tawel " just around the corner from
"Waunforte"
I visited the dwellings mentioned some years ago, & took many photos, the
owner of Dyffryn Tawel made me very welcome, but had no info on my family.
Unfortunately no one was at home at Waunforte.
Thank you for your response.
Regards
Jackie.
