Hello Listers,
This is my first time posting. I have some genealogical notes compiled by a friend in the
Carmarthen area many years ago. I'm working on them now. He mentions that a few
members of the family were buried at a chapel called Calferia or Calferia in Penygroes and
one couple was buried at Milo. Can anyone tell me if there are monument transcripts for
the two chapels? If so, how would I get a copy of them?
Thanks for any help/information you can give me.
The farthest back family I am researching is that of Owen Morgan and Mary Jones who were
married in the Llanarthney Parish Church 22 Mar 1837. Owen died of Cholera on 10 Sept 1849
at Banc-Cornicyll, Llanarthney, Carmarthen. His wife, Mary Jones died 29 May 1865 and is
buried in Carmel Baptist Chapel in Carmel, Carmarthenshire. Their first son, my Great
grandfather moved to Pennsylvania in the US with his younger brother. The rest of the
children stayed in Wales or died young. The oldest daughter Anne marrried a cooper, Thomas
Jones and had about seven children.
Thank You,
Gwen Cunningham
