Hi Pauline:
I am not sure. I also have two other family contacts that are stuck
where I am. Mary, his wife, is buried in Llanllwch St. Mary's churchyard
according to my notes (one of my contacts must have been there), but in
1894.
Any baptism for Mary Davies?
Thanks, Grant

Hi Grant
I cannot see a baptism for Benjamin Phillips born in Carmarthen St
Peters
from 1800-1823........I only have Llanllwch from 1813.......
I can see from 1851 census (CFHS index) that Mary was born in
Llangunnock
/Llangynog which is south of Carmarthen itself.
You have to remember that Llanllwch was a parish within Carmarthen
itself,
as Carmarthen parish was so large it was divided into three separate
parishes......Carmarthen St Peters, Carmarthen St Davids and Llanllwch.
In the 1851 census they are residing in the Royal Oak Carmarthen St
Peters,
all the children are classed as born in St Peters.......
Where was Benjamin buried as I cannot see him in St Peters, St Davids or
Llanllwch burials......do you know?
Pauline

Hi Pauline:
I am trying to trace down Benjamin Phillips born 1811 in Carmarthen
per
the 1841 census. I have determined that he married a Mary Davies in
October 1829 (ID number 23296 in Dyfed marriages) in Llanllwch - she
was
born in Llandanwich per 1851 census (living in Llanllwch). I would
like
to fine baptismal or birth information for both Benjamin and Mary as
I
have not been able to ID their parentage. The 1841 census says
Benjamin
was born in Carmartheshire; he died in 1850 so no more census info
for
him.
