Hi Pauline
I have had a chance to look at this entry and associated entries (only 5
pages) in more detail. I am leaning towards the fact that this William might
not be mine, as on page 4 of 5 there is a another William Rees (35, famer)
and family living at a Carnwallon Fach, which I guess would be associated
with Carnwallon farm and therefore this William was potentially the son of
the William you found. But you did not find a recorded baptism of a William
to a William and Anne which makes me think this William/William pairing is a
different one.
On page 2 (same page as my Walter) I did find an Anne Rees (73) "ind"
listed as
living at "Pontyberem" and therefore perhaps William is already dead with
Anne surviving. What do you think?
On Page 4 there is also a John Rees (35, Farmer) living at Bath(?). Being
1841 his actual age could be as much as 29. If so, this would tie up nicely
with the John Rees you found baptsed in 1812 to William and Anne.
I have just found both Williams again in 1851. William the elder is mariied
again and it looks like to his servant Rachel from 1841 and they have 2
children, one only aged 2 months!!

Hi Roy
I found William Rees in 1841, as the place is mentioned in one of the
baptisms......if this is your William Rees
1841 census Llanelly Glyn hamlet
Carnwallon Farm
William Rees 72 farmer born in county yes.
Rachel Williams 19 servant yes....
looks as if he is a widower.....I'll have a look in 1851 to see who is
living there then....
