Hi Pauline
Yes, he was a lucky man (he must have sowing oats on his farm!).
Thanks for having a look again for son William and for finding him. They so
seem to tie in nicely together.
The Anne Rees (73) in the 1841 census I guess could be William the Elders
sister or perhaps a very disgruntled ex wife!
Do your baptism records for this area go back as far as the 1760's. If so,
would you be able to search for a William Rees b.abt 1769 and and an Anne
Rees b.abt 1768 to see if William and Anne were brother and sister?
Thanks
Roy

Hi Roy
I too saw the entries for William Rees of Carnwallon fach with his family,
also the one from 1841 William Rees aged 83 with wife of 28......lucky man
I
thought!! Yes, it does look as if she was his servant in 1841.......I
have
them here ready to type in, but you have found them already.
Do you think that these are not yours, it is such a popular name, so
difficult to know who is who, but I do assume this is the same William as
the baptisms because of the connection to Carnwallon........
I have just checked the Llanelly baptisms again to see if there was a
William to any William OOPS, I missed him first time round....!!!!! I
must
have only been half awake....
1800 9th April Llanelly parish church baptisms
William Rees son of William and Anne, Farmer, Glyn hamlet
Soooooooooooooo the ones we have both found in 1841 and 1851 could well be
yours - UNLESS the Walter we have found is not the one as the baptisms I
found look connected to me.......
What do you think?
Pauline.....
All information from CFHS indexes.......
