Thanks Pauline for doing this for me, you have generated lots of interesting
potential leads. Walter and his family from 1841-1861 and his family were
based in Pontyberem, Llanon, which I believe is the same area as the Glyn
Hamlet, therefore anything with Glyn an d William and Anne is a potential
hit. Walter was a Blacksmith while his potential father was a farmer,
William also as a blacksmith as well would have been a better fit but no
need to discount as Walter was 30 when he appeares on the 1841 census and
therefore coud have progessed into this after starting out on the farm.
I am using the Carmarthenshire marriage CD for my marriage searches. I was
searching for "William Rees Anne" which brought up the results I mentioned.
I had a look again at the CD and can see now why I missed those you found as
for example William and Ann Treharn are listed as "William Rees Llanelly
Anne", which is why my search did not bring your results up. I need to be
more careful in future on my search criteria.
I will also follow up the 1841 census entry. Please let me know if you have
any success in the 1851 follow up
Many thanks
Roy
