Subject: A Question.
Hi All:
A Question on birth information.
My? family John James and Sarah James (Saer) from Laugharne lived at Hares Head in the
1841 census through the 1871 Census,
they had 13 children, they and their children in all the census are all listed as born in
Laugharne
but none of their births show up in the births of Laugharne.
I have found 6 of them christened at Bethlehem Ind, Twll Trap. St Clears.
and John, Sarah and their daughters Mary and Jane (JOHN) are buried at Elim Ind. Chapel.
Llanddowror.
So to the question,
If people did not Christen their children in the Church of England, (St. Martins,) does
that mean they were not registered in Laugharne records?
If they were registered in Laugharne is it common for 15 people not be in the records
which would be over a 50 year span?
Thanks.
Julia
