Hi
As suggested by Christine I have re-posted this entry as it may have been missed by
members as it was originally posted under the Five Roads School Thread.
Roy
Hi
I have a possible of Eleanor Thomas (maiden name unknown). This is only on
the basis that on the Carm FHS Master Burial Index there is a an Eleanor
Thomas who died 15 June 1838 age 75 at Carroway in the Llangendeirne Parish.
Her age matches up with that of David in the 1841 census and I think
Carroway (as the abode) may be a mis spelling or mis transcription of
Carraway.
If anyone can support this theory or knows more about this Eleanor Thomas
please chip in.
I have tried to find whether there are any suitable matches in the marriage
index for the marriage of a David Thomas to an Eleanor to find her maiden
name and support this theory but can't find one. Perhaps others can?
For reference David Thomas appears again in the 1851 Census at Carraway age
91 as a widower with Dau Anne unmarried. Anne's age I think is wrongly
entered as if the same Anne as in 1841 (age 50) who was then living with
Charles Stone and Jane in 1861 (age 70), her age should be around 60, and
therefore I think the 1851 census entry s/be 58 not 38.
Roy

Just saw this email. Do you know who the wife of David THOMAS , 75
(1841
census) was?

Hi Joy
Thanks for the confirmation of Hannah's pre-marriage census records.
Please feel free to pass on the information to Elwyn (and anyone else who
may have an interest) regarding Isaac and Hanah Winchcome.
Roy
