I have received this from the SOG
"This morning I attended the launch of the new Deceased Online website
www.deceasedonline.com <
http://www.deceasedonline.com/> which
is designed
for Municipal Cemeteries and Crematoria to put their records online. The
site will enable searches to made across lots of cemetery records and
hence burial and cremation information that is not noted on death
certificates becomes available to family historians.
Currently the site is available in test mode with records from the Kent and
Sussex Crematorium and Tunbridge Wells Cemetery available free of charge.
A report of the launch can be found on the Local Kent News section of the
BBC website
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7502473.stm
I hope members find this interesting and will take the opportunity to test
the site while it's free.
