I agree it is very sad and tragic. It would be an very unusual event even
today. My guess (what do you think?) is that it would have been
reported/commented on locally. Where there any local papers being printed
at
the time and if so, next time someone goes to Llanelly registry office

someone be so kind as to look to see if they can find a report of this
tragic event?
