Hi Charles
I checked the marriage CFHS index and it claims that David Reynolds was from
St Peters......I have two baptisms for a David Reynolds but seems to be too
early, unless his age is incorrect....
St Peters parish church Carmarthen
1799 14th December born 1st December
David Reynolds son of George and Margaret
1799 17th May born 24th April
David Reynolds son of David and Mary
do not have a later one......what information do you have on him......
will see if I can find anything on Benjamin Phillips...

Subject: [CMN-L] Benjamin Phillips (c. 1750-1839)
Hello,
I'm new to the list, and would like ask for help finding a couple of my
ancestors.
My third great grandparents were David Reynolds (c. 1807-1875) and Sarah
Davies (c. 1811-1872); both born in Carmarthenshire, and married in 1832,
in
Carmarthenshire. A witness to their wedding in St. Clears was a Benjamin
Phillips. I don't yet know who their parents were. Family records state
that Sarah Davies was "raised by her grandfather, Reverend Benjamin
Phillips."
I've recently learned there was in fact at least one minister, (first a
General Baptist then a Unitarian) from St. Clears, named Benjamin
Phillips,
who lived from c. 1750-1839. Can anyone help me found out more about this
minister and his family?
Thanks.
