Dear Mervyn,
Thank you for your enquiry. I retrieved the file for the Llaneli war
memorial (ukniwm 6817) but unfortunately we do not have a list of names.
There is a contemporary press cutting which states "The names of the
fallen - 651 in all, have been inscribed on parchment. This was enclosed
in a copper case, which, after being soldered up, was deposited in a
compartment prepared in the base of the memorial". Unfortunately, I
can't find a list of what appears on that parchment. I have updated the
record to state that no names appear on the memorial to save any
confusion.
